Questions before your next upload?

Answers about TabularGate CSV validation, delimiters, encoding, file retention, monthly quotas, batch processing, and subscription access.

How do I create a Free workspace?

Check current registration availability on the account page. When registration is open, request a verification link using your email address. If a link is delivered, open it, set your password, and then sign in. An accepted email request does not guarantee delivery or grant account access. Request a newer link from the account page if an earlier one expires; the newer request replaces the earlier link. Guest access remains available if registration is temporarily unavailable.

Which file formats are supported?

Files with a .csv or .tsv extension, plus pasted delimited text. The validator supports comma, semicolon, tab, and pipe delimiters. Excel workbooks, PDFs, archives, and database files are not supported.

Is every completed job a valid file?

No. Completed means that the worker produced a result. That result may contain errors or warnings. Read the validation report before using a download.

Does auto-detect always pick the right encoding?

No. Some files can be decoded in more than one plausible way. If you know how a file was exported, choose that encoding explicitly. Check accented characters and punctuation in the preview.

Does TabularGate convert dates or numbers?

Field values are handled as strings. Type rules validate values but do not automatically turn dates into another format or numbers into another notation. Optional cleanup settings can change values and are off by default.

Can I use it without an account?

Guest access allows 3 files per UTC day, up to 2 MiB each. The guest allowance is shared by browsers on the same network. Free accounts allow 30 files per calendar month, up to 5 MiB each, after email verification and sign-in. These plans process one file at a time.

What does Pro add?

Pro is planned at $19 per month with 500 files per calendar month, files up to 20 MiB, batches of up to 20 files and 80 MiB total, 20 saved settings profiles, column rules, and 7-day retention. See the pricing page for current purchase availability.

How do quotas reset?

Guest daily and registered calendar-month quotas use UTC. The guest allowance is shared by browsers on the same network; a different browser or a cleared cookie does not create a new allowance. A new processing job uses a new check. Unused checks do not roll over, and deleting files does not restore checks.

Where can I delete a file?

Open your workspace, find the job, and select Delete. This removes the job and its stored input and output files. Scheduled cleanup also removes files after the plan's retention period.

Will a normalized CSV be byte-for-byte identical?

Not necessarily. Re-serializing CSV may change quoting, encoding, or line endings while preserving field values. Compare parsed records rather than raw file bytes, and review any cleanup changes separately.

Are the checks a compliance or security certification?

No. TabularGate checks structure and your selected rules. It does not certify source accuracy, privacy compliance, business correctness, or acceptance by every receiving application.
