Validation report
READY WHEN YOU AREYour results will appear here
Paste your data or upload a CSV, then run a check to see what needs attention.
See where the problem starts
Specific record and column feedback helps you work back to the source.
Choose what changes
Values stay as text. Cleanup is explicit, with a count of the changes made.
Check the next file the same way
Planned Pro workspaces will save settings and column rules for recurring imports.
A file that opens can still have broken rows.
A missing quote or an extra delimiter can shift values into the wrong columns. TabularGate gives you a separate checkpoint between receiving a file and sending it into your next tool.
Start with the structure. Review the reported issues and the parsed preview, then use your destination's own validation for its business rules.
- Inconsistent field counts
- Malformed CSV quoting
- Encoding and delimiter controls
- Readable data preview
- Explicit cleanup options
- Exportable issue reports
Frequently asked questions
What does this CSV validator check?
It parses your file, checks record widths and quoting, and reports issues found with your selected settings. You can choose the delimiter and encoding. The planned Pro subscription will add column rules for required values, data types, and uniqueness. It cannot know every rule in your destination application.
Will my numbers, dates, or leading zeros change?
Values are treated as text. TabularGate does not automatically convert dates or numbers. Optional cleanup settings are off by default. CSV export re-serializes the file, so quoting, delimiter, encoding, or line endings can differ even when field values are preserved.
Can I try it without creating an account?
Yes. Guest access includes 3 files per UTC day, up to 2 MiB each. The guest allowance is shared by browsers on the same network. When registration opens, a Free workspace will include 30 files per calendar month, up to 5 MiB each, after email verification and sign-in. Both process one file at a time. Planned Pro subscriptions will add higher limits, batches, and saved settings.
What happens to uploaded files?
Files are processed on the server and linked to your session or account. Guest files are kept for 24 hours and can be deleted from your workspace. The published Free and Pro plans specify 24-hour and 7-day retention respectively when those plans are available. See the privacy page for processing and retention details.
